Exciting times ahead! Paula Bryan takes over as Director of BIGA, bringing nearly 40 years of expertise to drive the grooming industry forward.”

A Lifetime of Industry Expertise

Paula is no stranger to the world of pet grooming. As the founder of Clipit Grooming, she has dedicated years to developing innovative grooming products, from protective apparel to high-performance clippers and blades. Her in-depth knowledge of both business and hands-on grooming challenges puts her in a prime position to steer BIGA forward as the UK’s leading trade body for professional pet groomers.

Having worked across product development, education, and industry training, Paula has seen first-hand the need for better professional support, training, and recognition for groomers. Now, as Director of BIGA, she is committed to making those changes a reality.

A Bold Vision for BIGA’s Future

BIGA was created by groomers, for groomers, and under Paula’s leadership, its core mission will continue: to support and elevate those working in the industry. Her plans for BIGA focus on three key areas:

Professional Registration & Industry Standards – Paula believes that UK groomers should be recognised as skilled professionals, and she will be advocating for a grooming registration system to set industry-wide standards. Registration would not only enhance credibility but also offer protection for groomers and pet owners alike.

Education & Training – Paula is passionate about continuous professional development and wants to expand BIGA’s training and learning opportunities. Whether you’re a new groomer or an experienced professional, BIGA will work towards offering more educational resources, workshops, and support to help members stay ahead in their careers.

Collaboration & Industry Representation – BIGA is an associate member of the Canine and Feline Sector Group (CFSG), which means it has a voice in government discussions about industry regulations. Under Paula’s leadership, BIGA will ensure that groomers’ concerns, needs, and interests are represented in policy discussions that could shape the future of pet grooming.
