We’re thrilled to introduce Dom Leese, our latest Clipit ambassador and the creative force behind Brave'art Creative Clipping. Dom brings her passion and talent for horse clipping to new heights, inspiring others with her unique style and dedication to the art. Her journey began with an idea that was as ambitious as it was creative, and her beloved horse, Braveheart Lad – better known as Chester – was her eager partner in this adventure.
It all started when Dom stumbled across a horse clipped with a striking giraffe pattern. She was captivated by the artistry and decided to give it a go herself, with Chester as her first model. Although her attempt took 10 hours over the span of a week, the result was nothing short of extraordinary. Chester’s giraffe coat not only turned heads but sparked conversations with everyone they encountered.
“Chester loves attention,” Dom shares, “and with the giraffe clip, people couldn’t help but stop and chat when we were out hacking. It even made the traffic feel safer around us!”
But the giraffe clip wasn’t just eye-catching – it was also practical. Dom noticed that the unique clip pattern helped Chester regulate his temperature, allowing him to stay comfortable while still looking fantastic. She describes this approach as “FUNctional” – a blend of style and purpose that has become her signature.
Dom’s passion for clipping didn’t stop with Chester. Her success with the giraffe clip inspired her to start teaching others, running workshops where horse owners can learn how to create their own creative clips. These sessions have been incredibly popular, as Dom guides fellow enthusiasts in mastering the skills to clip their horses in ways that are safe, efficient, and stylish. Her dedication to educating others reflects her belief that every horse and rider can express their personalities and priorities through creative clipping.
